In April of 2011 i noticed a posting on Facebook of a proposed mating to be done by Staffyfriends in Spain. I began chatting to Gorka Garcia Perez and Naiara Hernandez Vera of Staffyfriends, about the possibilty of importing one the puppies. This was a major step for us at Sharrazar as we are still "newbies" in the Stafford world in South Africa. I began to research the bloodlines of both the Sire and the Dam. As you can see on our News and Views page, the pedigree includes many of the top Staffords in Europe, the UK and indeed from South Africa. This bloodline was EXACTLY what we needed to improve our kennel!
Gorka and Naiara, who have now become our close friends, then basically took me at my word and reserved a male puppy, long before the mating even took place, even when offered a substantial sum for Diablo, they remained honest and honourable to their agreement with us. I must say, i have seldom had the pleasure of dealing with two finer people. After the whelping Staffyfriends handled all the required testing, vet visits, paperwork and travel arrangements associated with getting Diablo to South Africa. At all times, in fact, DAILY, we were updated with pictures and information on how our little Diablito was doing! I personally reccommend Staffyfriends as a contact to anyone doing anything Stafford related in Spain.
Diablo's mother, Goddess Black de Pieblackstaff (Africa) is a stunning bitch that has an outstanding record in the European arena. I believe she will only improve and is a bitch that we will hear a lot more of. Gorka handles her in the ring and the two of them continue to be very successful.
Importing a pup into South Africa is not an easy thing unless you are in the mood for serious headaches, however, if you are lucky enough to deal with a kennel like Staffyfriends then you at least will be assured of support, friendship, honesty and a superb, quality puppy.
Sharrazar Staffords thanks Gorka and Naiara of Staffyfriends for their friendship and for Diablo!
